Binderus is a local-first Markdown note-taking app for macOS, Windows, and Linux offering a Notion-quality WYSIWYG editor on plain .md files. It supports optional encrypted local storage with passphrase protection, free syncing via any cloud provider, and a plugin system. The app is roughly 9 MB, built with Tauri and Rust, and stores notes as standard Markdown files with no proprietary lock-in.
