Terms & Conditions

Last updated August 11, 2026

AppClap is a catalog of web software. These terms cover what you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and — if you make software we list — how to correct or remove your entry.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using AppClap you accept these terms. If you are using it for an organization, you confirm you may accept them on that organization's behalf. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What AppClap is, and what it isn't

We help you find software by describing what you need in your own words. Listings are informational: they can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date — pricing especially, which changes without notice and varies by country. Always confirm details with the vendor before you buy. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or advice, and we are not party to anything you agree with a vendor.

3. Accounts

You can browse and search without an account. If you create one, we sign you in with a one-time email link rather than a password — keep access to that inbox secure, since anyone holding it can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

4. If we list your product

Entries are built from information the vendor publishes openly, and we honour robots.txt — if your site asks crawlers to stay out, we don't index it, even when that means leaving you off. If something about your entry is wrong, or you would rather not be listed at all, write to the address below and say so: we will correct it or remove it, and you do not need to explain why or prove ownership to ask. We aim to action removal requests within five working days.

5. Submitting an app

Anyone can submit an app, including one they didn't build. By submitting you confirm you may share what you send us, and you allow us to publish it as part of the catalog. We may review, edit, or decline any submission before it appears. Don't submit anything misleading, malicious, or that you have no right to share.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't scrape, bulk-export, or resell the catalog without our permission, try to break or overload the Service, or use it for anything unlawful. Ordinary personal use is welcome and needs no permission from us — that includes our MCP server, which you connect with your own account and key. We may restrict access where use is harming the Service or the people using it.

7. Intellectual property

Product names, logos, screenshots, and descriptions belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify and describe those products. The AppClap name, our interface, and the writing and structure we create around listings are ours; using the Service does not transfer any of that to you.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or that every listing is accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of AppClap or from anything you relied on in a listing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these terms as AppClap changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. For anything at all — questions, a correction to a listing, or a request under section 4 to have your product removed — legal@app-clap.com. A real person reads it.
