HelpViewer is a modern, portable, and fast tool for viewing Markdown and HTML documentation directly from ZIP archives or from a local directory. It runs entirely in JavaScript inside the browser, requiring no server or backend, and no data is sent to any server. Users can unzip a deployment package and open index.html directly, or optionally run it via a local static HTTP server or deploy it to a web server as a Progressive Web App. It is MIT licensed and supports features like bookmarks, notes, full-text search, and exporting chapters to multiple formats.
