NeverWrite is a local-first knowledge workspace that stores notes and documents as plaintext Markdown files in a folder on the user's own computer. It lets AI agents draft, restructure, and research across notes, but every AI edit is a reviewable change that must be accepted, rejected, or refined before it is applied. Users bring their own AI provider keys or subscriptions (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Kilo, Grok) rather than using a bundled AI service. It is free, open source under Apache 2.0, and requires no account or cloud vault.
