Pi is a minimal terminal-based coding agent harness that can be extended with TypeScript extensions, skills, prompt templates, and themes. It supports 15+ model providers and hundreds of models, with authentication via API keys or OAuth and the ability to switch models mid-session. Sessions are stored as shareable, tree-structured history that can be branched, exported to HTML, or shared as a GitHub gist. It offers four operating modes: interactive, print/JSON, RPC, and an SDK for embedding in other applications.
