Rook is a native Mac notes app built for code, letting users write, paste, and organize code snippets with syntax highlighting for 17 languages. It supports rich text plus code blocks, tables, headings, lists and to-dos, five built-in themes, and nested notebooks. It runs locally with no cloud or account required, and includes an MCP integration (beta) to save notes directly from AI tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini.
