Rote is a note-taking and personal note repository application with an open API for recording and retrieving data. It supports self-hosting so users retain full control of their data, and can vectorize notes to enable semantic search and an AI agent that can work over a user's own notes as memory. It is delivered as a web app/PWA with a separated frontend/backend architecture.
