FluoTest: The Free ScoreApp Alternative Built by a Web Designer Who Was Done With Bad Sales Calls

The quiz funnel business charges by the response: ScoreApp runs from $39 to $799 a month and involve.me from $29 to $499. FluoTest is a scored quiz builder that a web design studio in the Netherlands built for its own sales calls in February 2026 and then gave away, with unlimited quizzes and responses on the free plan. Its founder told us why, and what he wants from a directory like ours.

A pale purple half-circle dial with tick marks whose outer band is split into three score segments, pale, mid and dark, a dark needle pointing into the dark segment, and three stacked tier cards to the right of the dial, the top card dark and the two below it pale

Every service business has the same hour-long problem: the discovery call with someone who was never going to buy. The contact form asked for a name and an email, and nothing that would have told you to say no.

FluoTest is a scored quiz that says no for you, before the call.

FluoTest is the best free ScoreApp alternative we have found for scored quizzes: unlimited quizzes and unlimited responses on the free plan, weighted scoring with multiple score categories, a result and a next step per score range, hosting in the EU, and a Pro plan at €12 a month that only removes the badge and adds your own domain and branding (checked Nov 5, 2026 on fluotest.com). ScoreApp's free plan allows 1 live scorecard and 10 responses a month, and its Starter plan is $39 a month or $351 a year.

What FluoTest actually is

FluoTest is a no-code scored quiz builder where every answer carries points, every respondent ends with a 0 to 100 score, and the score decides what happens next: a booking link, a redirect, an email, a webhook, or a custom message. Its pricing page on Nov 5, 2026 lists the free plan as “Unlimited quizzes and responses”, “No per-quiz or per-response fees”, weighted scoring with multiple score categories, Brevo, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager and webhook integrations, a ChatGPT plugin, a Claude connector and an MCP server, basic analytics and CSV export. Free quizzes carry a small “Powered by FluoTest” badge, and the plans sit under a fair use policy.

Pro is €12 a month or €120 a year, VAT included for EU customers. It removes the badge and adds custom branding, your own domain, Google Sheets, Slack, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Notion and Airtable, and a team workspace. Business is €25 a month and adds A/B tests, lead routing and white-label workspaces per client.

The feature list is deeper than the price suggests. The features page lists import from ScoreApp, Typeform, Google Forms, CSV, Word documents and PDFs, disqualifier logic, an anonymous mode for GDPR, timers, scheduling and password protection. The changelog shows Likert-scale questions with reverse scoring and negative points shipping on October 31, 2026, marked “Free on every plan”. The MCP server, documented on July 13, 2026, lets Claude or ChatGPT create, edit and publish quizzes in your account.

ScoreApp meters the response: 10 a month free, 100 on Starter, 3,000 on Pro, unlimited only from $799 a month. FluoTest does not count responses at all, and the first thing it charges for is removing its own name from your quiz.

Why a web designer built a free ScoreApp alternative

FluoTest exists because its founder was losing hours to unqualified discovery calls. Dominik Sikora runs FluoSite, a web design studio in the Netherlands, and FluoTest's about page says it “was built in February 2026” after Typeform, ScoreApp and Google Forms each failed him on price, complexity or scoring. He wrote to us: “I wanted to know who was worth a call before getting on one”, so he built a scored quiz for himself, then noticed how many people were searching for a free ScoreApp alternative and turned it into a product.

The about page states the pricing logic in one line: “I made it free because lead qualification shouldn't cost $200/month.” FluoTest launched on Product Hunt on May 19, 2026, and the about page says it reached 100 users in 15 countries in 11 weeks with no ad spend. The homepage claims more than 600 active users on Nov 5, 2026, a figure that is FluoTest's own.

Is ScoreApp free?

ScoreApp has a free tier, but it stops at 1 live scorecard and 10 responses a month (scoreapp.com/pricing, checked Nov 5, 2026). Paid plans are Starter at $39 a month or $30 billed annually ($351 a year) for 100 responses a month; Business at $99 or $75 annually for 1,000 responses; Pro at $149 or $112 annually for 3,000; and Enterprise from $799 a month. The response cap is the meter.

Free quiz funnel builders compared

Of the 187 form and quiz tools in the AppClap catalog (Nov 5, 2026), 133 have a free tier, but only 8 are free outright, and most free tiers cap responses. These are the quiz funnel builders a small service business chooses between, priced on Nov 5, 2026.

FluoTest. Free with unlimited quizzes and responses and a badge; Pro €12 a month, Business €25. Scoring, tiers, routing, webhooks and the MCP server are all on the free plan. Best for anyone whose quiz has one job: score the lead and send it somewhere.

ScoreApp. Free for 10 responses a month; Starter $39, Business $99, Pro $149, Enterprise from $799. Best for a marketing team that wants the AI scorecard builder, AI landing pages and dynamic PDF reports, and will pay per response for them.

involve.me. involve.me is free for up to 50 submissions or 500 visits a month; Start is $29 a month charged annually ($49 monthly) for 3 live funnels, Grow $69 ($99) and Scale $139 ($199), with Enterprise from $499. Best for a team that wants quiz, calculator, email sequences and a CRM in one subscription.

LeadQuizzes. LeadQuizzes has no free plan, only a 14-day trial; Standard is $37 a month billed annually ($59 monthly) for 2,500 responses, Pro $74 for 5,000 and Premium $186 for 15,000, with overage billed per block. Best for a marketer who needs volume.

Tally. Tally is free with unlimited forms and submissions under fair use, with Pro at €20 a month, but it is a form builder with calculations, not a scoring engine.

On the AppClap flat-price test, where a tool passes when the price on its pricing page is the price on the invoice, FluoTest and Tally pass. ScoreApp and involve.me pass only inside the response tier you bought, and LeadQuizzes bills overage. Typeform, the tool Dominik left first, caps responses on every plan; our Typeform alternatives page lists what we track.

What is a quiz funnel?

A quiz funnel is a short interactive quiz placed where a contact form would go, which scores each answer and uses the total to decide what the visitor sees next. A high score gets a booking link, a middle score gets a nurture email, a low score gets a polite no. The decision about who gets your time is made by a rule you wrote once, not by you on a call. ScoreApp, involve.me and FluoTest all build this; the differences are the price, what the result can trigger, and whether the vendor counts your responses.

What you actually take on

ScoreApp's price buys things FluoTest does not have. ScoreApp generates scorecards and landing pages with AI; FluoTest's own comparison page says there is “no built-in AI generator”, though an assistant connected over MCP can draft questions. ScoreApp has a longer track record and a 14-day money-back guarantee. For a marketing department running ten scorecards with PDF reports, $149 a month is a reasonable bill.

FluoTest is nine months old, bootstrapped, and run by a small studio. The free plan is generous because the founder says so, under a fair use policy, and the badge stays on until you pay €12. The data ownership page describes hosting on Supabase in Ireland, a one-click JSON export and an account-deletion button in settings, which is more than most quiz tools offer. You are still trusting a young company with your lead list, so export it on a schedule.

  1. 1Do you take discovery calls that a five-question quiz could have screened out?
  2. 2Is the result of the quiz meant to trigger something, a booking link or an email, rather than just display a score?
  3. 3Would you rather write ten good questions yourself than pay for an AI to draft them?
  4. 4If a free tool's fair use policy changed next year, could you export and move in an afternoon?

FluoTest is the kind of listing AppClap exists for: a maker who had a problem, built the tool, and priced it like someone who remembers being the customer. Dominik's one request to us was to see where visitors to his listing go next, to his site, to signup or back to search, which is a fair thing to want from a directory. If you would rather describe the job than name a tool, start from a free quiz that scores leads before the sales call and see what the catalog puts next to it. The question is the same one as always: do you want to pay per response for a yes-or-no, or own the rule that decides it?
