Ardent is a database branching platform that creates isolated, full copies of any Postgres database in under 6 seconds using copy-on-write storage. It lets coding agents and developers test migrations, clean data, run backfills, and verify queries on production-identical data without any risk to production. Branches are fully isolated at the compute and storage level, autoscale to zero when idle, and support unlimited branches per database. It works with PostgreSQL databases including Supabase, AWS RDS, and standard Postgres instances.
