Docs is an open-source, web-native text editor for real-time team collaboration on structured documents and sub-documents, giving users full ownership of their data. It can be self-hosted on your own infrastructure or accessed via public community-run instances. It includes optional AI features (summarize, rewrite, translate, turn notes into slides) that can be wired to a user-chosen LLM provider. It is released under the MIT license and recognized as a Digital Public Good.
