Fleet Commander is a tool to manage and deploy desktop configuration profiles across large networks that use FreeIPA or Active Directory. It consists of three components: the Fleet Commander Admin (a Cockpit plugin and service for managing profiles), the Fleet Commander Logger (installed on template VMs to capture configuration changes in real time), and the Fleet Commander Client (a service on each host that applies profiles at login). It uses libvirt and KVM to run a virtual desktop session so administrators can live-edit application configuration on a template system resembling the client setup.
