StoneAge Messenger is a prototype Android messaging application built on top of the Cweb Java library. It supports direct messages and private groups, including sending files, using end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer communication protocols. It demonstrates the Open Private Data Architecture (OPDA), an approach where user data is self-managed on user-controlled S3-compatible storage instead of being held by a centralized SaaS backend.
