WatchCron is a cron job and heartbeat monitoring service that alerts developers when scheduled tasks, background workers, or automated pipelines stop running. It uses a Dead Man's Switch pattern where jobs ping a unique URL on each run, and also offers website uptime, port/service, SSL certificate, domain expiration, and blocklist monitoring. Alerts can be routed through Email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, MS Teams, SMS, Voice, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and Webhooks. It also provides public status pages and a REST API.
