Ensembl is a public and open genome browser project that provides access to genome sequences, annotations, and analysis tools across vertebrate and other species. It offers high-quality, integrated annotation of genomes including genes, variants, and regulatory regions. The platform includes tools such as BLAST/BLAT for sequence search, the Variant Effect Predictor (VEP) for analyzing variant consequences, and BioMart for custom data export. Ensembl is developed and hosted by EMBL-EBI.
