The extensible chat client·weechat.org
WeeChat is a fast, light and extensible chat client with a text-based user interface, built around a lightweight core with optional plugins. It primarily implements a full-featured IRC plugin (multi-servers, proxy, IPv6, SASL, nicklist, DCC) and supports scripting in 8 languages via a built-in scripts manager. It can be extended with remote interfaces so users can connect to a running WeeChat instance from a browser, smartphone, GUI client, Emacs, or another WeeChat.
