Finch is a console-based instant messaging program that lets users sign on to Jabber, GoogleTalk, IRC, and other IM networks. It runs on Unix-like operating systems and uses GLib and ncurses. It is part of the same project as the graphical client Pidgin and shares the underlying libpurple messaging library.
