Berty is an open-source messenger app built on the Wesh Network, a decentralized, offline-first, asynchronous mesh network protocol. It is developed by Berty Technologies, a non-profit organization, as a concrete demonstration of their commitment to privacy and decentralization. The app is designed to enable secure, private communication resistant to mass surveillance and censorship. It runs as a mobile and desktop application built with Go, IPFS, libp2p, Gomobile, React Native, Cryptography and Bluetooth technologies.
