Cwtch is a decentralized, privacy-preserving, multi-party messaging protocol used to build metadata-resistant applications. All communication is end-to-end encrypted and routed over Tor v3 onion services. There is no central Cwtch service or network; participants can host their own infrastructure ('safe spaces') or lend it to others. The protocol is open, allowing anyone to build bots, services, and user interfaces that integrate with it.
