Kontact is a free and open-source personal information management (PIM) suite from KDE that unifies email, calendar, contacts, and RSS feeds into a single window. It integrates components such as KMail, KOrganizer, KAddressBook, and Akregator, which can also be run as standalone applications. It supports protocols like POP3, IMAP, and Microsoft Exchange (EWS), encrypted communication via SSL/TLS, and email signing/encryption with GPG and S/MIME.
